What kind of business do you own and what services do you offer?

Kat's Deed Preparation provides expert assistance with ownership transfers for both real property and manufactured homes. Her services include the preparation of ownership transfer deeds for real estate, document preparation and filing for ownership changes involving manufactured homes, as well as notary and loan signing services.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I love to educate others on the options available to them when it comes to the ownership of their home. I have been in the industry for 14+ years with a background in escrow. My business offers a simplified method to an otherwise bewildering process.

What advice would you give to other women who want to start their own business?

I am a firm believer that you can achieve anything that you set your mind to. My advice would be to never feel threatened by sharing knowledge with others. Put in the work and don’t be scared to step out of your comfort zone. Have confidence in yourself and there will be no stopping you!

How do you show your support to other women owned businesses? 

I am always sharing my knowledge and what I have learned with others. I host networking mixers with local businesses to help other business women connect and share ideas. Connecting with and empowering other women is a big part of who I am as an individual.
